So why would you get a roof rack system Well, if you wanna carry around fun accessories and maybe expand your cargo space with a roof box or roof basket, or you wanna carry around kayaks or long ladders, first you need a base for those accessories. This is gonna be the roof rack system from INNO. This is gonna be the shorter length with the 54 and 57 inch bars, and it has some pros and cons to that. It is gonna be a little bit more sleek compared to the wider range, and with how INNO has the different bar sizes you also have a more custom look on the car. more

Inno Aero Crossbars Roof Rack Installation - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install this Inno roof rack system with the flush-mounted crossbars on our 2022 Dodge Durango. Now, when I say flush-mounted, what I mean by that is that the crossbar, that piece up top that we're gonna attach our accessories to, ends inside the foot pack here, meaning that nothing overhangs off the side of the vehicle. A lot of people prefer this style because it is a little bit more clean and custom looking. And if you only plan on mounting up one accessory on your roof, maybe something like a box for a road trip or a basket, then this is gonna be plenty of room. more

Rola Rail Extreme DFE Series Roof Rack Installation - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video

This is going to offer 60 inch elliptical style crossbars. You can see the crossbars nice and aerodynamic shape really helps to reduce any wind noise. There's diffuser strips that are going to come with it to fill in this little area here and also a built-in strip right here, again, helping to reduce the wind noise.Now, the kit's going to contain your crossbar, as we said, 60 inches there. more

Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Dodge Journey- Video
Speaker 1: Today, on our 2013 Dodge Journey, we're going to be test fitting the Thule AeroBlade Edge roof rack system for factory raised side rails, consisting of part numbers TH7502-TH7503. This rack is also available in black, as part numbers TH7502B - TH 7503B. The Thule AeroBlade Edge roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof, to free up space inside your vehicle. This can carry cargo baskets, cargo boxes, and kayak carriers as well. The edges also offer a more factory style look to it, without having the bars that go past the actual mounts themselves.However, this can be a little bit of a hindrance, as you can only really put accessories from this point here to the same point on the other side. With the end caps, they are removable, and they have these knockouts where you can replace it with a Thule Lock Core system to secure it to your factory raised side rails. more

Malone AirFlow2 Universal Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Dodge Journey- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2013 Dodge journey, we're going to be test fitting the Malone Airflow2 roof rack system part number MPG215.The Malone Airflow2 is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your vehicle. This can carry cargo baskets, cargo boxes, and kayak carriers as well. The bars have an aerodynamic shape to them and that coupled with the rubber strip up at the top, as well as the one that you cut to length along the bottom, will cut down the wind noise and drag while you drive.Also if we open up the end cap here, you can see that you can use T-track accessories with this as well. And instead of having to cut the tracks to length when you put your accessories in, you simply push it down and slide the accessories in. Another nice feature about it, it has this cap that simply opens up to do this. Other roof rack systems, you'd have to remove this end cap completely.With the 2 bars you can have a carrying capacity of 165 lbs, but you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights.With the Airflow2, you'll have two styles of locking end caps, so once it's installed, it's secured to your factory side rails, with one we'll have just simply a locking end cap. more

Rhino Rack Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to be Rhino-Rack pioneer platform universal mount cargo basket, part number RR42115BF. The Rhino-Rack pioneer platform is great for solving the problem of not enough space in your vehicle or you wanna make more space inside your vehicle by letting up your luggage, your sporting goods equipment, or your camping gear. This cargo carrier is nice and flat with plenty of tie-down portions and plenty of space to load your gear as well. There's a wide variety of features that you can utilize and put on the T-track systems up on the top, anything from eyelet tie-downs to shovel holders as well. You can find these all on etrailer.com.As far as the carrying capacity is concerned, what they recommend is you go by the manufacturer's weight recommendations for your roof and load it from there. Today on our 2016 Dodge Journey, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Aeroblade Edge Roof Rack system for factory raised side rails, consisting of part numbers TH7502-TH7503. This also comes in black as part number TH7502B-TH7503B. The Thule Aeroblade Edge is a great roof rack. It has a nice factory look to it and can carry a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your vehicle. It can carry bike racks, cargo baskets, and ski and snowboard carriers. The bars themselves have this rubber strip at the top and that, coupled with the aerodynamic shape of the bar, will cut down wind noise and drag while you're driving. The two bars have a combined carrying capacity of 165 pounds, although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand that weight. The endcaps are removable. You can see on the inside here you can actually use T-track accessories with this roof rack system. However, you are a little limited as far as usable space with the bars because the endcaps do take up quite a bit of that. The endcaps also have a knockout at the end which you can install a Thule lock core into so you can actually make your accessories as well as your roof rack keyed alike. Yakima Roof Rack Installation - 2016 Dodge Dart- Video
Today on our 2016 Dodge Dart we'll be taking a look at the Yakima Roof Rack Kit. This consists of the Yakima JetStream Crossbars, part number Y00425, the BaseLine Towers, part number Y00146, and two sets of base clip fit kits, first one is part number Y06118 for the front, and part number Y06123 for the back. Inno Roof Rack Review - 2012 Dodge Journey- Video
Today with our 2012 Dodge Journey, we're going to be doing a test fit of the inner roof rack system. As you can see, we've already got our front bar up here and in place on our vehicle. This is going to be part number INB127 for your crossbar, which is going to be that square bar. Then you're going to have your foot packs, which is going to be part number INFR. When you get your low bars, they're going to come with the two end-caps as well and your locking set with keys for the ends of your INFR foot pads. We'll go ahead and remove both the end-caps off here so we can expose the straps and linkage. Go ahead and loosen them up a little bit. more

Today, on our 2012 Dodge Journey, we have our Rola Sports Series Roof Rack, part #59899. We already have our front one installed all the way forward. As you can see, it's as forward as it gets. Now we'll show you how to put the feet on and go ahead and put it on the vehicle. Here we have our foot, we'll just need to make sure our grooves are all lined up and go ahead and slide it on, and then put our end cap on. Now when we measure our distance, we want to measure from the center of our post to the center of our post, and we want to have about 27-31 inches between. Same on both sides, whatever your measurement is. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2008 Dodge Durango- Video
Today on our 2008 Dodge Durango, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Aeroblade roof rack system. It's going to be part number THARB53 and the foot pack which is going to be TH450R. As you can see up on our vehicle that we already have one on the back installed, so you can see what it'll like with those raised factory rails. We're going to show you how to place the other one on and get a proper crossbar spread for our items that we're going to be putting on. First thing we're going to do is flip it over, turn the end cap to where we can remove it. If you need to, you can also depress the little button here. Pull the end cap off and then you can slide the scale in since we won't need the scale for this application. more

Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Dodge Avenger- Video
Today on our 2014 Dodge Avenger, well be test fitting the Yakima Q-Towers Roof Rack System, with the 58 inch round bars, using part numbers Y00409, Y00605, Y00606, and Y00124. With our roof rack assembled according to the manufacturers instructions, well open the front doors of our Avenger, grab the front half of our roof rack, and place it on the front roof line of our vehicle. For Yakimas feet guide, well need to measure from the windshield back 10 inches to the leading edge of our foot pack. Well do this measurement on both sides to be sure that we have our feet in line with each other. With our feet in line with each other, well pull down on the black levers securing our roof rack to the roof line of our vehicle. With both of our levers pressed down and our roof rack firmly secured to our vehicle, well shut our front doors, then we can move to the rear half. Well open the rear doors, grab the rear half of our rack, the measurement well use here is 32 inches. more

Rhino-Rack Aero Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Dodge Avenger- Video
Today on our 2014 Dodge Avenger, we're going to be test-fitting the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack, using part numbers DA126B and DK046. With our rack assembled according to the manufacturer's instructions, we'll open our front doors and place the front half of our rack on the front portion of our roof line. The Rhino-Rack fit guide tells us that we need to measure 30 centimeters from the middle of the two doors to the center of our foot pack. We'll do this measurement on both sides to be sure we have our feet in line with each other. We'll then go from side to side and tighten each foot pack down a little bit at a time to secure it to our roof line. With our front half secure, we'll close our front doors and open our rear doors, grab the rear half of our rack. This time, we're going to measure from the center of the front foot pack to the center of the rear foot pack. more

Thule Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Dodge Journey- Video
Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey, well be test fitting the Thule Crossroad Roof Rack System using part numbers THLB50 and TH450. With our roof rack assembled according to the instructions, well begin our test fit by placing our front bar directly onto the front part of our roof. To ensure that we have the bar in the correct location, we need to find a fixed point on our side rails to use as a guideline, so we can line up our feet. On this particular model of vehicle, the side rail has dash marks on it, so Ill line up our foot pack with the dash mark on each side of our vehicle. Here on the passenger side, well bring the strap around the bar, fitting the back into the foot of the carrier. Then, we can use the included tool to tighten the Allen bolt to secure our strap around our side rail. Once we have that tight, we can take our tool, slide it back into the foot pack, move to the drivers side and repeat that process. Now well grab our rear bar and place it onto the rear part of our roof. more

Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Dodge Journey- Video
Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey we'll be test fitting the Thule Aeroblade Edge roof rack system using part numbers TH7503 and ThH502. To begin our test fit, we'll grab our front bar which is the TH7503, and place it onto the front part of our side rails. To make sure that our feet are going to be in line with each other, we need to find a fixed point on each side rail. On these specific side rails there is hash marks that run up and down the side rails. We'll pick a hash mark and then make sure we pick the same hash mark on the other side so our feet are in line. Once we have it in place, we can remove the black plastic cover and install our strap. Now on each end of the strap you'll notice that one end has four slots and the other end has two slots for the mounting points. The end with the four slots is the end that will go in the foot pack around the underside of our load bar. The four holes are to accommodate the different size of side rails that we may have. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Ram Pickup well be test fit in the Whispbar Through Bar Roof Rack system using part number WB-S18 and the Custom Kit for Whispbar Flush Bars part number WB-K548. Weve already got our roof rack system assembled according to the instructions. To begin our test fit well go ahead and place our front bar on to the front part of our roof. To ensure that we have it in the correct location we need to measure 30 centimeters from the doorjamb to the center of our clamp. Well do this on both the passenger and driver side of the vehicle to measure are fit or in line with each other. Once we have our bar in the correct location we can then use the included Allen key toll to tighten our bolt which will secure our bar in place. more

Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Aero Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Today on our 2013 Dodge Ram 1500, we'll be test fitting the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series roof rack with Aero crossbars, 59" inches in length, black in color, part numbers DA1500B, and DK043. We'll begin our test fit by placing the front crossbar onto the front of our roof. We'll then need to measure from the center of the door jam to the center of our crossbar. We'll measure this on both the passenger and driver's side of the vehicle to ensure the front crossbar is in its correct position. Once we've established this position, we can use the included Allen key to tighten down the black bolts on the inside of the feet, to secure the front crossbar to the front of our roof. Now you may want to alternate when tightening it down so that one foot doesn't favor one side of the vehicle. more

Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Dodge Charger- Video
Today on our 2012 Dodge Charger we'll be test fitting the Yakima Round Bar Roof Racking System, part numbers y00409, y00699, y00683 and y00124. Now with our crossbars, towers, and Q-clips already assembled according to the instructions we'll begin our test fit by placing the front crossbar onto the front of the vehicle. We'll measure from the first part of the glass to the first part of the tower.According the instructions this measurement is eight inches. We'll do this on both the passenger side and driver's side of the vehicle making sure that the pads will contour to the roof of our vehicle correctly. Once we've established this position onto our charger we'll turn the silver bolt on the inside of the tower and clamp down the black levers securing the front crossbar to the vehicle.We'll now set our rear crossbar onto the roof of our charger and measure our crossbar spread. The crossbar spread is the measurement from the center of the front crossbar to the center of the rear crossbar and this measurement is 32 inches. more

Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Dodge Dart- Video
Today on our 2013 Dodge Dart we'll be test fitting the Thule Square Bar Roof Rack System, part numbers thkit1667, th480, and thlb58. Now with our feet, fit kit and load bars already assembled according to the included instructions, we'll begin our test fit by placing the front load bar onto the front of the vehicle. We'll need to measure from the front part of the glass to the first part of the foot on both the passenger and driver side of the vehicle to ensure that the load bar is perpendicular to the vehicle and the fit kit contours to the roof line correctly. After establishing this position, we'll use the included tensioning tools to tighten down the feet to secure the load bar to the vehicle. Note that you may want to tighten down each foot a little at a time so that one side of the load bar doesn't favor one side of the vehicle. We'll now place the load bar onto the rear of the vehicle and we'll need to measure the crossbar spread. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Dart we'll be test fitting the Yakima Round Bar Roof Racking System, part numbers y00409, y00124, y00606 and y00702. Now with our Q-clips, towers and crossbars already assembled according to the instructions we'll begin the test fit by placing the front crossbar onto the front of the vehicle. We'll then measure from the front part of the glass to the first part of the tower as indicated in the instructions.We'll measure seven inches on both the passenger and driver's side of the vehicle making sure that the crossbar is perpendicular to the vehicle and the pads on the underside of the Q-towers contour correctly to the vehicle. Once we've established this position on the crossbar we'll then tighten down the silver bolts on the inside of the tower and latch down the black plastic covers.Now you may want to alternate sides when tightening down the silver bolts as when closing the black plastic covers the crossbar will tend to favor to one side. Now with the front crossbar secured to the vehicle we're ready to load our rear crossbar. We'll place our rear crossbar onto the rear of the vehicle and measure the crossbar spread. more

Thule AeroBlade Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2007 Dodge Durango- Video
Today on our 2007 Dodge Durango, we'll be test fitting the Thule Roof Rack System using the Thule AeroBlade Load Bars, part number THARB53 and using the Thule Rapid and Crossroad Roof Mounted Railing Foot Pack, part number TH450R. We've already assembled our roof rack system according to the instructions so we'll begin by placing the front part of our roof rack onto our vehicle. We'll want to make sure that the straps on the feet go around our side rails. Once we have them in place, we can then make sure that we have an equal overhang on each side. Then we'll want the center of the foot with the rail by using the Aero indicator on our foot pack and bring our strap around our rail. We'll insert the end of the strap into our foot and then hold it into position while we tighten with the included tool. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Ram 1500, we'll be test fitting the Yakima roof rack system. We'll be using the 58" cross bars, part number Y00409, the Yakima Q towers, part number Y00124, and the Q clips specific to this vehicle, part number Y00607. Now we already have our cross bars assembled according to the instructions, and we're ready to fit them up on our vehicle. The first thing we need to do is open the driver and passenger side doors in the front. We'll set the front cross bar assembly up on top of our roof and get it into position. To position it properly, we need to measure 10" from the leading edge of the Q tower base to the edge of our windshield glass. more

Today on our 2007 Dodge Charger, we'll be testing the Yakima Round Crossbar Roof Racking System, Part Numbers Y00409, Y00699, Y00683 and Y00124. Now, with the roof rack already assembled, we'll go ahead and open the front driver side and passenger side door and set the front crossbar on to the vehicle. We will then check the Yakima fit guide for the included instructions to determine the measurement from the front part of the glass to the first part of the q tower. Our measurement is 8 inches. We'll measure the passenger side, first part of the glass to the first part of the tower, 8 inches then we'll move to the other side where we will do the same. We need to make sure that we get the crossbar perpendicular to the vehicle to ensure the tower gets a good fit to th vehicle. more

Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Dodge Charger- Video
All right today on this 2012 Dodge Charger, we're going to do a test fit of the Thule Roof Rack System. We'll be using the Thule Square Load Bar, part number THLB58, part number TH480, the traverse flip pack and part number THKIT1604 Thule fit kit. Now we're going to start off our load bars already assembled according to instructions, so all we got to do is put them on the roof. We'll start with the front crossbar and open up the front doors and then place the bar onto the roof. To place the bar correctly, we'll measure from the edge of the windshield to the edge of the foot pack. I always go by the instructions, but on this particular test fit, we'll be using a measurement of eight and a quarter inches. more

Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be fitting the Thule Traverse Roof Rack System using part numbers TH480, THLB58 and THKIT1043. With our roof rack preassembled to the directions found within the fit kit, we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle.We'll begin by setting the front crossbar on top of the roof, we will take a measurement from the top of the windshield back on the roof 27-1/2". This will be the location of the leading edge of our front crossbar feet.With our front crossbar in the correct location, we'll go ahead and open the doors as the roof rack system does clamp to the door openings. After making sure that our clamps will clamp on to the door opening, we can go ahead and tighten them down using the included torque tool within each foot and with our front load bar secured, we're now ready to move on to the rear load bar.Again, we'll set on top of the roof this time our measurement will be from the center of the front crossbar to the center of the rear crossbar. This will make our crossbar spread 27-1/2" which is the ideal location as seated by Thule. With our rear crossbar located in the correct position, we can go ahead and torque it down using the same procedure as we did with our front load bar. more

Rhino Rack Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Dodge Journey- Video
Alright, today on this 2012 Dodge Journey were going to install the Rhino Roof Rack, part number SXB4-SILV. Our vehicle is already equipped with the factory roof rack so were going to add our Rhino Rack to the top of that. Very simple to install and were going to start off with our Rhino Rack already reassembled according to the instruction, so we'll just place it on top of the factory roof rack. Ok, next well go ahead and make sure that the crossbar is square with the factory roof rack so we'll measure from the edge on the factory roof rack to the leading edge of the Rhino Rack. In this case were going to use a measurement of 10 inches. Ok, now well go ahead and move on to the second crossbar. more

Today on our 2011 Dodge Journey, we will be test fitting the Thule Crossroads Roof Rack using the 50-inch crossbar, part number THLB50 and the Thule Crossroads Roof Mounted Foot Pack, part number TH450. Well begin by setting the front crossbar. Just set it on top of the roof rails. And using a tape measure, well take a measurement in order to make sure that the front bar is square with the roof. Each of the feet on the roof rack have an arrow indicating center. You want to make sure that the arrow on each of the feet is pointing directly down on the roof rail. more

First we need to make sure that the load bar is overhanging evenly on both the left and right side of the vehicle and we also need to make sure that the load bar is running perpendicular to our side rails. To do that we will find a fixed point up on our side rails on either side and measure the distance from that to the edge of our Crossroad foot and make sure its the same. more

Rhino Rack Roof Rack Installation - 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on this 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan, we are going to be testing a Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System. Our Grand Caravan has factory side rails, so we are going to be using a system that will attach to these. We already have our crossbars put together, and now we are ready to mount them up on the vehicle. When we mount our front crossbar we need to make sure of 2 things. One that the crossbar is over hanging evenly on both sides of the vehicle and 2 that it runs perpendicular to our side rails. We will measure from a fixed point to a leading edge of the clamp on both sides of the vehicle to make sure the measurements the same so we know that we are perpendicular. more
